It’s a two-hour session with clay, designed to be your escape from the everyday. Whether this is your first encounter with ceramics or you already have some experience, these workshops are for you. At ŁYKO Ceramika, we believe in creative freedom – we don’t impose a theme or a specific project. We want everyone to feel comfortable and free to bring their own unique idea to life.

The workshop includes one handmade piece, shaped and decorated with colourful ceramic slips. You’ll create your piece in an intimate, welcoming atmosphere, accompanied by relaxing music, light refreshments, and your choice of coffee, tea, or wine.
How does the workshop work, step by step?
Our session lasts two hours and is divided into three intuitive stages. We’ll be with you throughout the entire process, accompanying you on your creative journey. We’re always happy to offer advice and answer questions, making the creative process as easy and enjoyable as possible.
1. Introduction to the world of ceramics
We begin with a short theoretical introduction. You’ll learn about the properties of clay and the basic principles of working with this fascinating material. This foundation will give you the confidence you need for the creative stages that follow.
2. Hand-building – time to get creative
This is the heart of the workshop! We’ll help you choose the right hand-building technique for your idea, whether it’s coiling, slab building, or the pinch pot method. Even if you think you “don’t have any artistic talent,” our instructors will guide you through the entire process. We’ll make sure that creating your piece is enjoyable and gives you a real sense of satisfaction.
3. Decorating with ceramic slips – add colour to your creation
Once your piece has taken shape, it’s time to personalise it. You’ll have stamps and ceramic slips at your disposal – special ceramic paints that allow you to give your creation its own unique colour and character. This is the moment when your piece truly becomes your own.
Everything you need to know – practical information
- Who is it for? The workshops are designed for adults – both complete beginners and those who have worked with clay before.
- Duration: One session lasts 2 hours.
- Price: Participation costs PLN 240 per person.
- What’s included? We provide everything you need for a lovely evening. This includes clay, tools, ceramic slips, and protective aprons. We also serve drinks (coffee, tea, water, and wine) and light snacks. The price also includes two firings in a ceramic kiln and glazing of your piece.
- Registration: Advance booking is required to secure your spot. The workshops take place with a minimum of 4 participants. If the minimum group size is not reached, we will offer you a new date or refund your payment.
- What happens after the workshop? Your creation needs to go through a longer finishing process: drying, the first firing (bisque firing), glazing with a transparent glaze in our studio, and a second, final high-temperature firing. You’ll be able to collect your finished, fully functional piece of ceramics (dishwasher-safe!) after approximately 3 weeks.
- What is the difference between “Morning with Clay” / “Evening with Clay” and the ceramics course with glazing? “Morning with Clay” and “Evening with Clay” are one-session, sensory workshops focused on hand-building and decorating with ceramic slips. We meet once, work with our hands, experiment with form and colour, and enjoy the creative process. These sessions focus on a direct, sensory experience of the material – the feel of moist clay, the softness of shaping edges, and the calming rhythm of working with ceramic tools. The result is an unfired piece that, once dry, goes through a bisque firing.
The ceramics course with glazing, on the other hand, is a multi-session programme. We work in stages – shaping, drying, bisque firing, and then a dedicated glazing session in the studio. During the second session, you can choose from more than 50 glaze colours and explore different application techniques, including brushing, pouring, and dipping. This course gives you more time to develop your skills and absorb the knowledge and techniques at your own pace.
