About the course

Did you enjoy wheel throwing? Or is this your first time on a pottery wheel? During the course, you’ll learn the individual steps of building forms on the pottery wheel. You’ll discover how to prepare clay, center it, shape cones, open forms, build walls, and also learn trimming techniques. In the fourth session, you’ll glaze your creations.

At the intermediate level, the course program is tailored individually for each participant. This may include working with a larger amount of clay, attempting to create two identical pieces, attaching a handle to a thrown cup, or making larger forms such as a bowl or a small vase.

Remember — everything tastes better when served in a cup, plate, or bowl you’ve thrown yourself!
